Tikka masala is notoriously difficult to get out of upholstery. I blame the Indian custom of not owning couches or armchairs. While inventing curry, they totally ignored the possible consequences.
So, in a way, you’ve broken the laws of nature by spilling a bit, and probably deserve a stained settee. I advise doing lots of charitable works, and hope that the good karma solves the problem for you.
But, if you’re in a hurry, I suggest gently washing in a mix of 50/50 water and white vinegar.
