Ah, yes, one of my favourite meals, and so easy to get wrong you will need a good recipe. As a cullinary expert, I can recommend to you the Yahoo recipe web page at (no longer exists).
Simply enter lasagne in the search field and you will discover there’s more to the simple dish than you realised.
Sure you could go with the ordinary everyday beef and tomato lasagne, but why not be adventurous.
They’ve got everything from artichoke lasagne to a very scary Buffalo Chicken lasagne (do they combine the two animals because one was in the stomach of the other?).
They’ve got your classic Eggplant lasagne for the herbivores, or a Seafood lasagne for the marinavores (yes, I did make that up).
What about the low-fat lasagne (which with all that cheese has to be an oxymoron), or the Green and White lasagne (for those not familiar with food names).
They’ve got your Spanish lasagne, your Mediterranean lasagne, even your Tex-Mex lasagne, but oddly not one from Italy.
And my favourite, the Impossible lasagne – I always like to be defeated before I begin.
Go to the site and go to town, but whatever the recipe you choose, make sure you add a few of my own secret ingredients – good red wine, gorgeous Italian opera and a swarthy six foot Roman god who doesn’t speak a word of English but is very good with his hands.
